Docks

Tucker Marine Construction offers permanent and floating dock installation to residential customers, marinas and associations on West Michigan Inland Lakes.

We want to guarantee our customers they are getting the longest life possible out of their new Lakeshore Asset. That is why we fabricate our docks to be the most durable, greatest quality and best looking docks there is to offer. Our customers can be sure they are getting the best there is to offer for their new investment.

Winter time can be harsh on docks in Michigan, ice buildup can easily destroy your dock if not built and installed correctly. To help your dock withstand our harsh winters we choose to only install durable, high-quality docks built with a heavy-duty steel frame. Our permanent docks are supported with heavy steel pipe pile long enough to establish barring and our floating docks are supported with the highest quality poly-floats offered, custom piling pockets and steel pipe pile.

We take pride in our workmanship when fabricating and installing our custom built docks, they are built to last with quality welds and reinforced frames that are easy to lower and raise as the water levels differentiate over the years.

Choose Your Decking

We take pride in our workmanship when building and installing our docks, they are built to last with quality welds and reinforced frames that are easy to lower and raise as the water levels differentiate over the years.

Tucker Marine offers both PVC decking and treated lumber decking for your dock. We will quote you on both decking options to help you determine which is best for your budget.

Types of Decking

Pressure-Treated Wood Decking: This is the classic material used to build docks. The preservation process that this wood undergoes prevents rot and bug infestation. However, this doesn’t stop weathering and corrosion, therefore, periodic professional maintenance is important with wood docks. Tucker Marine only use #1 grade lumber on our docks. #1 grade lumber has much fewer defects and knots and is straighter, which makes the #1 grade stronger than #2 grade. It also has a much better appearance than #2 grade lumber.

PVC Decking: We use Clubhouse PVC Decking; this decking is made entirely from poly with military grade heat blocking technology. This is a solid decking with not cavities and no wood fillers to rot. Clubhouse recently did a study with marine contractors in Florida to "better" their product since it is used in marine applications quite often. After the study they improved the texture of the decking to make it a "non-slip" product. PVC decking is also installed with hidden fasteners that make your decked surface look flawless.
